Chief priest of a renowned Ombatse Militia group, Baba Ala Agu on Wednesday said the security operatives that were sent to Alakio village in Lafia East development area of Nasarawa State by Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura to arrest him was killed by his god.
Baba Agu stated this when he received a delegation of all Eggons nation both at the state and federal level which was led by member representing Nasarawa North at the National Assembly, Barrister Solomon Ewuga and members of the House of Representative representing Lafia/Obi federal constituency.
The chief priest, who claimed he was at Ajagwu village close to Alakio village home when the killings of security operatives took place said: “When he came back from where he went to i had that the governor sent some security agencies to come and arrest me and beheaded his head in order to take it to him and the came and died on their way”.
According to him, “I don’t know how they died and when they came here they were drank and my God did allow them so the all died as they were about to penetrate into my house and destroy my people”.
On the allegations level against him whether he has been forcing people to take the conscious of the deity he said: “If I ever open my mouth and said they should go and arrest somebody or forced anybody to take an oath then my God will punished me”.
Further questions by group of journalists on whether the attack linked up with 2015 general elections stated that who were in his house at Alakio village he stated that, “If you are talking about politics it does not border me I don’t even understand hause language is not for me and I am not a politician and time for politic has not even come yet”.
Baba Agu who spoke in Eggon language and interpreted by the legal adviser of Ombatse militia group, Mr. Zakaria Zamani Alumaga denied that he did not know anything about Ombatse stated that he is not the leader of the group, adding that if invited by the security operatives he would definitely go and that nobody has ever called him.
The 76 old man who expressed his sadness with the president Good Luck Jonathan, governor Al-Makura and entire people of the state over the incident said is shaking as what would happen to him and his people in Alakio village.
Baba Agu who said if senator Ewuga has not come to his place said Barrister Ewugaa was not involved in the incident of the attack that led to the killings of security operatives and he had planned to go to his home town.
